WHO WE ARE

SPRTSGRLS™ was born from a blend of two lifelong passions: athletic empowerment and creative design.

Led by Dr. Amy M. Cannatta, DC — chiropractor, creator, and lifelong sports lover — SPRTSGRLS is more than apparel. It's a movement for women who want to feel confident, chic, and completely themselves on game day.

My love of sports began long before SPRTSGRLS. I played three sports in high school and have been active my entire life.

As a chiropractor, I've had the privilege of treating elite athletes and NCAA Division I competitors, serving as team chiropractor for the WNBA Connecticut Sun, and working alongside neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons in multidisciplinary medical groups. Sports have always been part of my world — professionally and personally.

But my creative journey started even earlier.

THE ORIGIN

Age eight. A bedroom. A sketch pad. A little girl with big dreams.

In my bedroom at the age of eight, I would pretend I was a fashion designer — sketching women's clothing, then picking up a needle and thread to bring those sketches to life. That little girl never really went anywhere.

Life took its turns. I raised a family, went back to school, built a chiropractic practice, and spent years as a store manager at Kate Spade — where my love for timeless, whimsical style was shaped and sharpened. I stitched Halloween costumes, tiny outfits for my daughters, and modified fabrics just because I could. The creativity was always there, quietly waiting.

Then in December 2024, I decided to stop waiting.

I asked for a sewing machine for Christmas.
And SPRTSGRLS™ began.

THE MOMENT EVERYTHING CHANGED

Super Bowl LX. One jacket. Forty hours.

In January 2026, I wore a custom rhinestone jacket I had made entirely by hand to the Super Bowl. Every stone placed individually. Forty hours of work. One of a kind.

The response stopped me in my tracks. Strangers approached me all night — complimenting the jacket, asking where I got it, telling me I needed to start a line.

I came home and made myself a promise.

"If I am going to do this, I am going to do this so it looks like a million-dollar brand right out of the gate."
